May 2004 - In the beginning was The Sign. And The Sign was pretty clear. Vertical blue bar on white background. You are pregnant.
We were pregnant.
Later in 2004 - And at first you can't really see anything, there's just a mädel and a bub.
But it is still all in the mind.
June 2004 - Using advanced echo-location and -imaging technology we are able to get a first visual confirmation of the entity's existence. Although very rudimentary in form we can discern humanoid morphology. The entity is designated Child 1 and classified as Homo Sapiens Sapiens, both parents are reported as being "relieved, happy and even fighting back a tear or two".
By the way, Igor: It's alive! Witness the regular sinus of the entity's heart.
June 2004 - Close observation is being kept and only 7 days later it has grown considerably.
July 2004 - Come July it's starting to look like a genuine bi-pedal, opposable-thumbs tiny little human. With a HUGE head. The father hopes this is a transitional physiology, or a trick of the eye.
August 2004 - Hold on, definitely something there! There's no doubt anymore. Look how cute!
But look at it grow
September 2004 - First in Reute...
November 2004 - ...then in Ghent. I swear, that is no pillow.
Amazing, and beautiful.
That's all for now, the rest is yet to come. And when she comes, we can only hope she'll be as cute as these two...

January 26th 2005 - Post Scriptum: she has arrived, gently, as gently as can be, into reality. And she's beautiful, as her mom. And I am a dad.
